Sens. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Lindsey Graham (RS.C.) transparency advocates criticized at a press conference Tuesday, renewed their promise to shut down the senate until their bill to block the release of detainee photos becomes law.
Lieberman, in turn, dismissed the release of images of ” disclosure without a purpose ” and ” sheer voyeurism “Transparency in this case is unnecessary and hazardous to transparency.”
The two senators dismissed House Democrats the concerns about the bill as “naive” views of a fringe minority. ”
In anticipation of troubles Graham and Lieberman have already inserted into the law of the tobacco legislation on the Senate floor.
