roger federer 2009 french open1 232x300 French Open Mens Final 2009: Prediction and Preview news

Head to head: Federer leads 9-0 Soderling, including a 2-0 mark when games are played on clay.
Although the loss to Nadal in the 4 consecutive French Finals is nothing to be ashamed of losing … Robin Soderling (apart from his current level of play) would be catastrophic.

The role of favorite is often the most difficult cards to play, because if you win, you are expected to lose and the examination begins.

Soderling has much going for him in the final tomorrow, that is, he has nothing to lose. the dominance of Federer over Soderling has the same advantage he had in his most current win over del Potro: movement.

Robin Soderling at times looks like a laboring duck, trying to cover court on Chatrier; with Federer’s liquid and graceful strides having no close second The Swedish also serves thunder strike at will; eclipsing Roger mph averages by a wide margin. So, why this man has lost nine hours in a row for Federer? [click to continue…]

Uncovers Secrets of Madoff

Bernard Madoff

Bernard Madoff

“Bernie.” someone casually asked as Madoff happened to walk by. “have you heard of this guy?”

Then there was the man who ran the floor. Frank DiPascali. Madoff’s chief deputy on 17. Everywhere you looked. there were signs that Madoff — and by extension his firm — had special status. Madoff was even more obsessed. if that’s possible. with cleanliness. The Madoff firm had 2-1/2 floors in that building.

Bernie and Peter Madoff were raised in Laurelton. a middle-class area of Queens. Little is known about the career of Ralph Madoff. and no member of the extended Madoff clan would discuss the family. Ralph Madoff wrangled with the government on one occasion. What’s mysterious is that Bernie Madoff’s childhood friends don’t recall his mother’s being involved in stocks or bonds.

Madoff achieved little distinction at Far Rockaway High School. One constant in high school was Ruth Alpern. Madoff’s sweetheart. Madoff specialized in over-the-counter stocks. the unglamorous. mostly small-company shares that didn’t trade on an exchange. [click to continue…]

At least 16 people and possibly dozens more have died from a swine flu virus in Mexico, and world health officials worry it could unleash a global flu epidemic. Mexico City closed schools across the metropolis Friday in hopes of containing the outbreak, and tougher measures were being considered.swine flu 150x150 SWINE FLU: 7 people in Texas and California Diagnosed With Illness news

Mexico’s Health Secretary, Jose Cordova, said only 16 of the deaths have been confirmed as the new swine flu strain, and that government laboratories were testing samples from 44 other people who died. Scientists have long been concerned that a new flu virus could launch a pandemic, a worldwide spread of a killer disease. A new virus could evolve when different flu viruses infect a pig, a person or a bird, mingling their genetic material. The most notorious flu pandemic is thought to have killed at least 40 million people worldwide in 1918-19. Two other, less deadly flu pandemics struck in 1957 and 1968.

Schools, cinemas and restaurants were shuttered to prevent the spread the deadly respiratory virus, and thousands of people were quarantined at home.

Schuchat of the CDC said officials believe the new strain can spread human-to-human, which is unusual for a swine flu virus. The CDC said none of the seven people were in contact with pigs, which is how people usually catch swine flu. CDC officials described the virus as having a unique combination of gene segments not seen in people or pigs before. The bug contains human virus, avian virus from North America and pig viruses from North America, Europe and Asia.

Health officials have seen mixes of bird, pig and human virus before, but never such an intercontinental combination with more than one pig virus in the mix.

Scientists keep a close eye on flu viruses that emerge from pigs and trying to determine if the death involved the same strain swine flu that sickened 7 people in California and texas . It’s not known if the seasonal flu vaccine Americans got this winter protects against this type of virus. People should wash their hands and take other customary precautions, CDC officials said.
